After finals are over, we will be holding a vote by e-mail for PGN leadership positions. The new positions will go into effect during Summer and Fall quarters, though we will likely only hold one or two small optional events for those of us who are still around Portland during the summer.
As several of our members are graduating this quarter, this is a great opportunity for those of you who are not currently holding a leadership role to gain responsibility and have a greater influence on the success of the fraternity during the upcoming quarters. It is also a great opportunity for those of you who are currently holding leadership roles to switch to another position. As Kent pointed out in his previous e-mail regarding the open positions:
"This term we will need to do some key transitions of leadership roles:
If you are currently in an officer/leadership position and are not graduating this term I strongly encourage you to take on a role with greater responsibility.
If you are currently a member in a non officer/leadership position I strongly encourage you to take on one of these positions.
Other than obtaining your degree, this is the single most important thing you can do to increase your chances of getting a good job and accelerating your career.
By showing your leadership positions on your resume and talking about your experiences during a job interview: you will set yourself apart from all of the other job candidates."
